My client in Midrand is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance department. Must have at least 5 years experience in a similar role.

Educational Qualifications / Experience Required

-Minimum Matric
-BComm Degree
-5 – 7 years experience in a similar position

 Functional Summary:

-Analyze financial information
-Reporting
-Annual Financial Statements and Tax Calculations
-Control and oversee data captured      

Main Functions:

     Analyze financial information:

• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice


• Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems

      Reporting:

• Prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization


• Maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs


• Prepare accounting records, Management accounts, or other financial reports

Annual Financial Statements and Tax Calculations:

-Assist with the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements and tax computation at financial year end

Control and oversee data captured:

-Report all financial transactions
-Asset register update and depreciation
-Inter-company invoicing and Balancing of inter-company accounts
-Balance sheet recons
-Inventory adjustments & reconciliations
-Monthly journals
